By car: Blue Lagoon is just 22 km from Keflavík Airport and 50 km from Reykjavík. Take Reykjanesbraut (Highway 41) to Grindavíkurvegur (Highway 43) and follow the signs. You can park your car at the Blue Lagoon parking lot.
By taxi: Taxis are readily available from Reykjavík or Keflavík for a direct and convenient option.
By bus or tour: Many tours include Blue Lagoon transfers, or you can book a dedicated shuttle service from Reykjavík or Keflavík Airport.

Use conditioner before and after you soak in the Blue Lagoon, or wear a swim cap to protect your hair from the effects of geothermal seawater. Complimentary conditioner is available in the shower area.
Remove all jewelry to prevent loss or damage from geothermal seawater.
Stay hydrated during your visit, especially if you have diabetes or high blood pressure.
Avoid submerging prescription glasses in the water, as silica can damage the lenses. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before entering the lagoon to prevent eye irritation.
Sunglasses are recommended on sunny days to reduce glare from the water’s reflective surface.
Phones are allowed but should be handled carefully in the water. Waterproof cases are recommended and available for purchase on-site.
